Country: Afghanistan - based in Kabul
Length of Contract: 8 months starting ASAP
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the mission advocacy strategy (nutrition & health) consistent with international advocacy issues pursued by ACF-F and with ACF Afghanistan operational strategy.
• Contribute to the definition of mission strategy: developing the mission advocacy strategy consistent with the technical strategies and ACF international (and regional if applicable) advocacy strategies, writing proposals (or advocacy objectives within mission’s proposals) and reports for funding bodies and submitting to the Deputy Country Director in a timely manner.
• Implement the advocacy strategy at national and provincial level: managing information necessary for advocacy activities, elaborating and regularly updating the action plan and coordinating the implementation of advocacy activities, efficiently monitoring and evaluating the results, ensuring compliance with ACF standards, implementing recommendations and alerting the Deputy Country Director when necessary.
• Represent ACF to outside bodies: developing and coordinating partnerships with other parties on advocacy activities (NGO, civil society) and facilitating joint advocacy activities. Supporting the Deputy CD in developing contact with key stakeholders related to ACF advocacy field (government, UN,…) in order to have an effective and efficient channels for advocacy messages.
• Contribute to ACF expertise on Advocacy: recording experience and lessons learned on advocacy activities and transmit to HQ, contributing to working groups and advocacy activities (data collection and analysis, possible participation to international forums ans meetings) of ACF international network. Adapting and implementing mission activities related to overall advocacy objectives (support to campaigns, multi-country activities)
