Travel Grants
Travel grants for Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding aim to increase the diversity of voices at the conference, with a particular focus on enabling the participation of students, individuals from or residing in a country with a low- or middle-income economy (LMIC), as classified by the OECD, and members of Indigenous communities.
Travel grants will be awarded by the Grants Selection Committee based on financial need and candidate profile, with preference given to students, individuals from or residing in LMIC, and members of indigenous communities.
If you would like to provide financial support for travel grants, please contact conference@environmentalpeacebuilding.org.
A travel grant is intended to supplement other sources of funding for individuals on the program at the Conference, it is not meant to cover all the expenses incurred. In most instances, a travel grant will cover:
- The registration fee; AND/OR
-
The costs of local accommodations, meals, and ground transportation, based on a fixed daily rate set by the grants selection committee and to be distributed at the conference.
In exceptional circumstances, the Grants Selection Committee may award a grant to partially or fully cover international travel expenses and visa costs on a reimbursable basis. This may include economy-class bus, train, plane tickets, and driving-related costs; cancellation or change fees are not reimbursable. Travel costs will be reimbursed after the conference upon submission of receipts, within 30 days. Grant recipients are expected to secure their own travel and health insurance; EnPAx does not offer insurance coverage.
