Papua New Guinea: Village Assembly Strengthening Project Manager

CARE PNG is looking to fill the position of Village Assembly Strengthening (VAS) Project Manager. The VAS Project aims to build the organisational capacity of local government within selected districts, incorporating gender equity and youth involvement, and supporting the development of accountable and participatory planning processes in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. The VAS Project Manager is responsible for development and management of the VAS activities and will lead the implementation, quality, and coordination of the project.

Your relevant tertiary qualifications and program management experience in international development will be highly regarded. Your experience in community planning and accountability tools and your ability to monitor and track budgets and expenditure, and produce accurate and timely financial reports will be complemented by your ability to manage, mentor and build the capacity of a small team and your ability to build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
