Programme Director - DRC

International Alert is recruiting for a Programme Director for the Africa Programme (AP) to cover maternity leave for the Deputy Country Manager. The post will be based in Bukavu, DRC with frequent travel within the DRC and occasionally within the region and to London.

Working closely with Alert’s AP, including the Great Lakes Manager, and with other Alert departments, you will take on active role in broader regional strategy and cross-programmatic activities.You will be responsible for ensuring that Alert’s contribution to peacebuilding in the DRC is maximised, by taking responsibility for sound project management of a portfolio of projects (through line management of Project Managers) and supporting relationship building and maintaining visibility for the programme, contributing to raising funds and recruiting new staff when necessary.
