Assistant Coordinator - Food and Seasonal Security

Under the responsibility of food safety project coordinator, assistant coordinator of food and seasonal security programs, based in Tambacounda, ensures the implementation of food security projects and seasonal projects developed in the region.

Main objective:

Ensure the implementation of food safety and seasonal projects in the region of Tambacounda and provide support for the smooth running of projects developed on the mission.

  • Livestock Project
  • Seasonal projects 2013 (Ramadan, Eid Sacrifice)

Main tasks:

In conjunction with the Head of expatriate mission and charge of national food security project:

  • propose and / or finalize a methodology and an intervention strategy for Livestock Project
  • ensure compliance of projects (project cycle, logical framework, timetable)
  • provide support to responsible food security project in the definition, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects according to the objectives
  • carry out missions diagnosis, monitoring and evaluation sites
  • oversee the implementation of activities (updated tools followed, collection and accumulation of information)
  • provide logistical, administrative and budgetary monitoring programs on the basis of Tambacounda
  • ensure the internal reporting (sitrep projects) and external projects
  • prepare and provide support post mission technical coordinators
  • assist in the preparation of reports and analytical reports (including monitoring experts or resource persons reports)

Main objective:

Participate in the research of institutional funding for the continuation of Livestock Project.

Main tasks:

In conjunction with the Head of Mission and the Department of Institutional Finance (HQ) as well as responsible for food security project

  • Participate in the identification of donors on the area and thematic targeted by the Livestock Project
  • participate in the analysis, evaluation, exploration of new needs / areas, defining strategies and direction of the project, planning activities, monitoring the implementation of activities, analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency activities (against planned objectives) and their relevance to needs.
  • contribute to the development of project documents (policy documents, terms of reference of activities, tools ...)
  • participate in surveys, studies and research themes
  • participate in the preparation of the strategy of the mission.

Human Resources and Coordination

Main objective:

Project coordination and support on the basis of Tambacounda teams.

Main tasks:

  • in conjunction with the Head of Mission, overseeing project implementation teams daily
  • ensure the flow of information of the Head of Mission to the project implementation teams and these teams to the Head of Mission.
  • make or participate in the establishment of a formal system of coordination for projects (meetings, reports ...).
  • participate in recruitment interviews of persons linked to programs implemented.

Communication / Representation

Main objective:

At the request of the Head of Mission, and it occasionally or continuously, ensuring representation of SIF at events related to food security and seasonal projects developed by the basis of Tambacounda.

Main tasks:

  • participate in the communication between the mission and his interlocutors (seat / donors / partners)
  • occasionally participate in coordination meetings in Dakar on the theme of food security
  • organize visits and accompany / supervise relations with institutions and civil society partner organizations in the area.

Humanitarian education BAC BAC +3 to +5

Profile:

Coordination of humanitarian projects or agricultural development in general. Management team. Diagnosis and situation analysis Writing, reporting / Propsal field experience 6 months to 1 year minimum
