There’s much more to a cup of coffee than meets the eye - or the nose, for that matter. One of the most beloved hot drinks in the world, coffee is big business - and for that reason, it can also be a catalyst of social good, too.
Zoom in on South Sudan, a country torn apart by a long civil war that started in the 1980's and lasted until it split from Sudan in 2011. During that time, 2.5 million people died and 4 million were displaced as they abandoned their homes in search of safety. Many of them were coffee growers. Now, these smallhold coffee growers are getting a new opportunity to market their produce, increase their revenue and improve their standards of living for the first time in decades.
