Student Video Contest for Environmental Peacebuilding MOOC Participants
Mar 27, 2018
The Massive Open Online Course on Environmental Security & Sustaining Peace has launched a “student spotlight” video contest to highlight the diverse work and interests of course participants. Students have been asked to submit short videos to a YouTube playlist. The student videos describe experiences related to environmental peacebuilding and should be no longer than 3 minutes long.
The course team will select the best videos and highlight them throughout the second half of the course. In addition, UN Environment will contact the authors of the selected stories to be interviewed. The plan is to feature these participants’ stories in dedicated blogs and social media posts. This activity is an exciting opportunity to share voices and experiences with a potentially large audience.
Given the impressive cohort of participants who have worked with nonprofits/NGOs, the private sector, international institutions, law firms, news agencies, security firms, academia, and more, we look forward to receiving a variety of interesting stories!
If you are a MOOC participant – even if you aren’t caught up yet – you can find details under Week 3. There is a section of the Week 3 course materials titled “Optional – Student Spotlight Video Contest”. We look forward to reviewing your submission!
