Under the supervision of the Country Director, the candidate will have to guarantee the quality, relevance and scaling of Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL) strategy and interventions at the mission, in conformity ACF and international standards and national policies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of programs/projects and ensure that reports are submitted
- Providing technical support to PMs, while coordinating information with Field Coordinators and Deputy Country Director
- Validating the key stages and the projects methodologies
- Guarantee the quality and cost-effectiveness of projects
- Seeking the technical support of HQ technical advisor at Headquarters
- Validating recommendations made by evaluators
- Define the FSL country strategy and positioning, coordinate needs identification and the formulation of project proposals
- Defining the mission FSL strategy in collaboration with the Country Director, FSL team and Head of Department
- Participating in visits by funding agencies
- Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectorial coordination and technical forums and develop sectorial partnerships
- Meeting with key actors in FSL sector and representing ACF in sectorial coordination
- Identifying and promoting technical and scientific partnerships with local and international partners
- Team management
- Functional management of FSL personnel
- Supporting the recruitment process of FSL personnel
Do you fit the profile of who we're looking for?
You hold a master degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, International Development or other fields relevant to urban/rural livelihoods and you have at least 3 years of field experience with NGO’s in food security activities.
Recognized for your strategic vision, good analysis skills and diplomacy, you have the ability to deal with several things at the same time.
Fluent in English is required.
Specific conditions/ Compensation
Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 depending on relevant experience
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective or individual accommodation, medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
