Monrovia — In Liberia, the lawmakers and other senior officials of government are known for violating the laws which the ordinary citizens are compelled to uphold.
From violations of financial procedures, procurement regulations and other extant laws of the country, officials of government have over the years proven to be above the law while holding the population responsible to abide by the laws.
Some members of the National Legislature have consistently come under spotlight for constitutional violations and ignoring of other important laws of the country. The same lawmakers on the other hand, usually hold other officials from the Executive branch of government to their feet whenever these officials are found to have violated provisions of existing laws.
