Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization which originated in France and is committed to ending world hunger. The organization helps malnourished children and provides communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.

The position:

Under the supervision of the Deputy Field Coordinator, you will be in charge of coordinating the implementation of ACF’s Food Security and Livelihoods program in Rakhine State and guarantying the quality, relevance and cost-effectiveness of the FSL component, in line with ACF's and international standards and national policies.

More precisely, you will be in charge of:

  • Overseeing the overall implementation of the FSL program in Rakhine State
  • Supervising and manage the FSL program Area Managers and organize the FSL team
  • Ensuring the quality, accountability and impact measurement process of his/her program
  • Contributing to the identification of needs and the formulation of on-going and upcoming project proposals
  • Participating in the coordination, representation and partnerships of ACF in his/her area of intervention

Context:

The program is implemented in a conflict sensitive environment, in internal displace people camps, in 2 disctricts; Sittwe and Minbya. There are 3 bases of work: Sittwe downtown (main office), TKP camp (sub-office), Minbya downtown (sub-office).

Do you fit with the position?

You hold a university degree in agronomy, agriculture, international development or other fields relevant to food security, with at least 3 years of field experience with iNGOs in food security and livelihoods activities.

You demonstrate an experience in multisector project cycle management in an iNGO, preferably in a humanitarian or international development context.

You have an experience in managing to large-sized teams involving several technical components on a multi-location program, and in remote approach / management.

You demonstrate adaptability and capacity to switch from development to emergency interventions depending on the context evolution.

You are able to consolidate contributions from a large team to ensure reports are comprehensive & coherent and you have the capacity to provide technical advice in clear, unambiguous language, patiently explaining to field teams the reasons behind your conclusions in order to develop their technical skills.

Fluency in written & spoken English.

Status: Long-term contract, provided by ACF according to the French legislation.

Remuneration and benefits:

  • Monthly gross salary from 1600€ to 1975€ upon experience.
  • Per diem and living allowance: 155€ + 277€ (cf eurocost) net, field paid.
    • 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen (256€ to 316€)
    • Child allowance, limited to 5 children.

Transportation and accommodation:

  • Coverage of transportation costs to and in the mission.
  • Individual room in guesthouse covered (préciser si logement individuel)

Medical coverage: 100% coverage of medical expenses + repatriation insurance.

Leaves and RnR:

  • 25 days of paid leaves per year.
    • 20 RnR per year.
    • 215 € at each RnR period (averagely every 3 months).
  • Coverage of the transportation expenses to the RnR area of reference.

Training:

  • Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Crossknowledge ©.
  • Technical trainings at HQ or regional level (averagely 1 per year).
  • Intermission Workshop once a year.
  • Opportunity of coaching (DP) or mentorship.
  • Participation to external trainings costs upon eligibility of the request.
