Update on Guidelines for Best Student Paper in Environmental Peacebuilding Award (Deadline Extended through September 3, 2019)

Aug 24, 2019 | Environmental Peacebuilding Association

The submission period for Best Student Paper in Environmental Peacebuilding is extended through September 3, 2019.

This award acknowledges the best paper presented by a graduate or undergraduate student at the Environmental Peacebuilding Conference for this year (whether on a panel or in a poster session).

The Awards Committee has made an amendment to the guidelines to increase the number of eligible submissions. While the original guidelines required that the paper’s authors only be students, our revised guidelines allows for papers that also have faculty members or non-students listed as authors, as long as those non-student authors participated in a supervisory role only (i.e. the substantive work has been done by students alone). When submitting papers that may have names of supervisors or non-students attached, please include a description of the role of each author so that the committee can evaluate accordingly.

Consideration will be given only to papers written while the author was enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, and that will be presented at the 2019 conference as a presentation or poster.

Please submit your paper to awards@environmentalpeacebuilding.org. There are no firm limits on the length of papers but we would suggest a minimum of 5 pages or 2,000 words, so there is sufficient space for analysis.
