We're searching for a WASH Program Manager who will be responsible for managing and coordinating all water, sanitation, and hygiene activities in Bunia, DRC. We invite you to apply today!
The job:
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Assist with planning of project budgets and ensure appropriate expenditure of budgets in respect with donor requirements.
- Oversee project implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities.
- Oversee all tender processes and ensure timely procurement of required project inputs and materials.
- Participate in project evaluations and assist in the analysis of the results, assess project impact and effective use of resources.
- Provide supervision, guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans and priorities and encouraging effective teamwork.
- Ensure the WASH sector representation of Samaritan's Purse DRC through various coordination meetings and contacts with various partners.
- Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers.
- Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
The requirements:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, as well as able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in a relevant field such as Civil or Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Hydrology, Geology, or International Development. One to two years overseas experience in managing and implementing WASH programs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage staff, finances and project activities.
- Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and in the office.
- Experience working and living overseas preferred, with ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- French language skills are necessary.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with people of different educational, linguistic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and have strong mathematical and reasoning abilities.
- Be a strong team player and adept at creating a strong team spirit.
