EcoPeace Middle East is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. Our primary objective is to promote cooperative efforts to protect our shared environment. Our projects focus on transboundary environmental issues, water security, wastewater and renewable energy, and target youth, local communities, decision-makers, the private sector and the international community. EcoPeace is hiring a Finance & Operations Manager to join our team in Tel Aviv. Reporting to this position is a Procurement Officer.

Among other tasks, the position entails the following:

  • Provide leadership to finance and accounting matters within the organization.
  • Supervise month-end close process including preparation of bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed timely and accurately.
  • Lead the national financial audit process.
  • Manage the procurement function and ensure compliance with procurement manual.
  • Support fundraising efforts in coordination with Resource Development Department.
  • Settle intercompany transactions with Palestine and Jordan field offices monthly.
  • Provide regular financial analyses, reports, and forecast to management.
  • Lead and support the annual budget preparation process.
  • Assist in the management of grants reporting, compliance, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Oversee compliance with statuary and contractual reporting requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with program staff and provide finance leadership.
  • Record revenue in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Coordinate procedures and transactions as part of the regional finance team

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum three-year financial management experience preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Minimum two-years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (fluent English and Hebrew). Arabic is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel foundation.
  • Prior experience using Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Team player – enjoys and thrives in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Jordan on occasion.

The Finance and Operations Manager reports to the Regional Director of Finance and to the Israeli Deputy Director. Some work-related travel in the region (Jordan) may be required.
