Call for Abstract and Research Proposals on Government Development Strategies in the Pastoral areas of the Horn of Africa

IPSS is calling for Abstract and Research Proposals on Government Development Strategies in the Pastoral areas of the Horn of Africa: lessons learned.

The research findings and proposals will largely focus on analyzing government policy and implementation of strategies with solid evidence in pastoralist areas of Africa. The specific objectives of the research include:  investigating government development strategies and implementations in pastoral areas, analyzing pastoralist response to these development strategies and documenting policy and strategic implications in the framework of food security and sustainable resource management.

The deadline for both submission of abstracts and the research proposals will be 28 February 2014.

The selected papers and their full research findings are expected to be presented and debated at an international conference to take place in October 2014.
