Environmental Peacebuilding Association
As we collectively continue through an extraordinary public health emergency, we recognize that the everyone's lives and routines are in flux. We are all striving to cope with a fluid and highly uncertain situation, stay healthy, and maintain our vision of a healthy, peaceful, and sustainable future. Even as we practice social distancing, we are also socializing distantly. Staying connected. Supporting one another. Toward that end, we wanted to highlight some measures that the Environmental Peacebuilding Association is undertaking to help people connect, engage, and learn.
The Environmental Peacebuilding Update will continue to go out every other Tuesday, and the Environmental Peacebuilding Knowledge Platform team will continue to add the most recent and interesting scholarship, events, and opportunities in the field at www.environmentalpeacebuilding.org.
If you are interested in engaging remotely, we encourage you to enroll in the self-paced massive open online course (MOOC) on Environmental Security and Sustaining Peace, which is available through June of this year. The registration link is here.
For those interested in watching specific segments of the MOOC or in using them in online courses, we will be posting the individual lecture videos to the Knowledge Platform’s library over the coming weeks.
The Environmental Peacebuilding Association plans to host a number of webinars in the coming months to continue to connect and inform its members and Update readership. The Events section below highlights webinars next month on the M&E practices at IMPACT (an institutional member of the Association) and on getting published, particularly as a young professional.
We welcome your ideas on other ways to engage the Environmental Peacebuilding Community of Practice during these unsettled times. Please do not hesitate to contact us at association@environmentalpeacebuilding.org.
In the meantime, please stay safe, stay connected, and take care.
