Call for Nominations for Al-Moumin Award and Distinguished Lecture on Environmental Peacebuilding
Mar 12, 2019
The Environmental Peacebuilding Association is currently seeking nominations for the Al-Moumin Award and Distinguished Lecture on Environmental Peacebuilding. The award and lecture are named after Dr. Mishkat Al-Moumin, Iraq’s first Minister of Environment, human rights and environmental lawyer, and an advocate for women’s rights. The award recognizes leading thinkers who are shaping the field of environmental peacebuilding. This will be the sixth award (for previous Al-Moumin laureates, see here). This award is co-sponsored by American University’s School of International Service, UN Environment, and the Environmental Law Institute.
The Awards Committee welcomes nominations for the Al-Moumin Award until April 30, 2019. The nomination should include a description of the basis for the nomination, including evidence of impact, and may include supporting materials.
Please visit our Awards page for details and to submit nominations for the Al-Moumin Award and other awards.
