At the time, researchers were exploring how environmental degradation could catalyze conflict, but the potential for environmental cooperation had been largely neglected. They found the potential for the environment to be a point of engagement and reconciliation existed around the world, an appreciation that has grown over the past fifteen years.

Join us and the book’s editors, as well as two rising scholars, for a look back at how the field of environmental peacemaking has evolved since the book’s publishing and what the potential is for environmental peacemaking going forward.
