Evidence is accumulating that linkages between environment and security dynamics are more important than previously thought. Governments, the public, corporations, and other organizations around the world need a clearer understanding of the related new risks and more effective responses. Columbia University’s new Environment, Peace, and Security Certification will prepare you to understand these rapidly changing connections between environment and security dynamics, and will equip you with tools for managing the risks.
During this information session, the program’s co-directors and faculty members will outline the program’s development, experience, and expected outcomes.
Please join us for an online information session to learn more about the Certification of Professional Achievement in Environment, Peace, and Security. Faculty members and program co-directors, Marc Levy and Beth Fisher-Yoshida, with faculty member Alex Fischer will present. Event will run from 6-7 pm EDT.
The six-course, two-term Environment, Peace, and Security certification program is ideal for professionals who assess or help manage environmental security risks at organizations such as the UN, diplomatic missions, global financial institutions, government agencies, NGOs, consulting and investment firms, and PR agencies. Upon completing the program, you will be prepared to take on a more specific environmental security specializations within your organization or more senior strategy and management roles.
