This session will provide an overview of why environmental issues are relevant in the context of conflict and humanitarian response, with a particular focus on the Middle East, data collection and assessments, monitoring and response. The aim is to provide information and collect experiences from the field on the environmental and energy dimensions of armed conflict. The crucial insights and experiences from humanitarians will be synthesized to explore how advocacy response mechanisms can be improved, both in the field and on the global policy level. Join us in this session jointly organized by PAX and Chatham House, with support from UNITAR and the JEU.
