Livelihoods, Natural Resources, and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding is now available for download free of charge. This is the fifth book to be published in a series of six edited volumes on post-conflict peacebuilding and natural resource management. The November 6 release of Livelihoods, Natural Resources, and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding for download coincides with the 14th International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict. The United Nations has organized this event to raise awareness of the connection between natural resources and conflict. The UN emphasizes that "action on the environment is part of conflict prevention" because "there can be no durable peace if the natural resources that sustain livelihoods and ecosystems are destroyed."
