The College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) at Northeastern University invites applications and nominations for open rank positions in all relevant areas of security, resilience and sustainability, with a particular interest in their overlap.
Several appointments are expected to be made in appropriate units of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, such as the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and the departments of Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology and History. Cross appointments with the College of Engineering, College of Science, College of Computer and Information Science, and other colleges at Northeastern are also possible.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree at the beginning of the appointment and a record of scholarship and teaching commensurate with rank. Successful applicants will have the abilities to initiate and lead major funded research projects, to promote innovation in teaching, and to engage with practitioners in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
