Call for Contributions: International Conference on Communities, Conservation, and Livelihoods

The Community Conservation Research Network (CCRN) and the IUCN Commission on Environment, Economic and Social Policy (CEESP) are co-organizing the Communities, Conservation and Livelihoods international conference in Halifax, Canada 28-30 May, 2018.

The CEESP Theme on Environment+Peace (TEP) is preparing 3 sessions for this conference and is inviting interested individuals or organizations to contribute. The sessions will take the form of a panel discussion, round table or talking circle on the following topics:

  1. Making Peace: Transforming Social Conflict Dimensions of Conservation
  2. Human Migration: Environmental Dimensions of Refugees and Internally Displaced Peoples
  3. What value might an Environmental Peace Index deliver to community conservation?
