CARE is seeking a Food Security and Livelihoods Advisor who will play a key role in providing direction and technical support in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CARE Yemen Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) strategy and all CARE Food Security and Livelihoods interventions and in establishing strong relationships with stakeholders (Government, Clusters, local partners etc.). S/he will be required to regularly visit project sites or provide remote support to monitor and report on the quality of FSL program interventions. The position holder will take overall responsibility in regular reviews and implementation of CARE Yemen FSL strategy. He/she will also be required provide support to both Emergency and Development interventions in line with Care Yemen Country Office strategy.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Food Security and Livelihoods related discipline such as Agriculture, Economics, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in FSL programming , particularly in Food Security and Cash programming
  • Prior experience working in Yemen or similar contexts
  • Proven FSL in Emergencies experience
