We are Searching for...

 Search for Common Ground DRC is offering a Fellowship Opportunity open to a Congolese Graduate Student interested in community violence in  DRC. The fellow will work with Search’s team focused on issues preventing and addressing violent conflict in Eastern DRC. Program participants have the opportunity to make a direct impact while also pursuing their own research. The program is ideal for candidates seeking to deepen their professional exposure as part of an ongoing research project, whether as part of a thesis, dissertation, or another form of research endeavor.   Working with Search research and program teams, our fellow gain a wide variety of skills where s/He is given the opportunity to learn and flourish. Fellow should expect to spend approximately 40% of her/his time in field directly supporting Search for Common Ground activities and 60% pursuing independently her/his research.

Early applications are highly recommended as the selection process is on a rolling basis.

This fellowship is unpaid. However, fellow will receive a generous stipend to defray travel and living expenses. Fellow should plan to spend 10 - 12 weeks with Search and be based in Goma/RDC with frequent travel to the field.
