Global Witness is looking for a campaign leader to use investigation and advocacy skills to stop oil, gas and mining industries in Myanmar contributing to grand corruption, conflict, human rights abuses and environmental degradation. The candidate will support extractives sector reform in Myanmar, building particularly on our ground-breaking investigations into the jade sector, through outreach and communications with key decision makers.
Global Witness will also be looking to the candidate to manage our formal civil society partnerships and ensure that meaningful change and impact is achieved and communicated.
About you
You will bring enthusiasm and commitment to natural resource governance, human rights and environmental challenges in Myanmar, as well as a proven track record in leading advocacy campaigns with successful policy impact at an international and senior level.
You will need demonstrable experience of leading and managing highly skilled individuals and proven ability to influence and negotiate with a broad range on individuals.
Finally, we are particularly interested if you have great knowledge of governance and transparency issues particularly in relation to Myanmar.
