NRLA puts a unique twist on the standard college based learning environment, allowing both the graduate student (credit) and working professional (non-credit) the opportunity to learn side-by-side, sharing and networking on natural resources topics with individuals from around the globe, while integrating leadership and emphasizing collaboration across all disciplines and throughout.

Registration is now open for the 2016 Natural Resources Leadership Academy, which will be held Jun 12 – 24 in Corvallis on the Oregon State University campus in Kearney Hall. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your leadership skills, while gaining knowledge and connecting with others in the natural resources field.

Week 1 (Jun 12 – 17) highlights include:

  • An intensive leadership session for all attending followed by a welcome reception on Sunday, June 12 from 3 – 7:30p (PST)
  • Three focused tracks (credit/non-credit) covering the topics of:
    • Natural Resources and Community Values
    • Collaborative Governance
    • Water Conflict Management
  • A combined overnight field trip to Central Oregon that integrates and emphasizes the learning objectives from the weeks’ tracks.

Week 2 (Jun 20 – 24) highlights include:

  • Two focused tracks (credit/non-credit) covering the topics of:
    • Environmental Water Transactions
    • Resilient and Robust Resource Management
  • A day long field trip for participants in Environmental Water Transactions to Central Oregon that highlights the learning outcomes for that track.
