An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Chief Operating Officer to form a key part of a talented and highly collaborative Management Team.  Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, this is a new role that will provide strategic vision and leadership in all operational and resource related aspects of the organisation.

Your duties will include:      

  • Acting as a senior professional lead for all operations and resources staff, building a cohesive team and promoting a culture of collaborative working and innovation;
  • Providing strategic advice and leadership on Finance, HR, ICT, Corporate Legal, Risk Management, Governance and Facilities Management;
  • Leading on strategic financial planning including new development opportunities and activities to develop short, medium and long term financial plans;
  • Advising on and overseeing the implementation of effective HR, IT and technological approaches that support the organisation’s ambition to move towards innovative working practices;
  • Developing and enhancing the role of risk management across the organisation;
  • Being an ambassador for Global Witness and advising the CEO and the Board on best practice in constitutional and governance matters.

You will be an inspirational leader with a relevant post graduate qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIPD, LLM, MBA) in your chosen field.  You will have significant experience of leading and managing multi-functional teams with a proven track record in delivering strategic objectives across finance, HR and IT in a fast-paced and complex environment.  You will need to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders across the organisation; so exceptional communication and negotiation skills are a key requirement for the role.
