How do we understand conflict and environment case studies?  Often, there is an informal process of searching similar cases for points of comparison and contrast.  What if this process was automated?

Environmental peace builders, decision-makers, and researchers can now use and and are invited to test out the beta-version of the ICE Expert System.  The system allows an analyst to look at a case of conflict and environment and compare it to other past and current cases.   Based on categorical coding in the Inventory of Conflict and Environment, you can search for issue-oriented comparable cases, group cases by time and place, or select features related to case outcomes.  The user can also weigh issues to highlight some more than others.
