The United Nations mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) embraces an innovative and inter-disciplinary approach to both pedagogy and content of post-secondary learning. UPEACE's ten master programmes offer specialized, multi-disciplinary courses and an international faculty use engaging and participating teaching models for face-to-face classroom instructin which address various areas related to peace and peacebulding immersed in cutting-edge topics such as:

- Specialization in Environmental Security and Governance
- Specialization in Sustainable Natural Resource Management
- Specialization in Climate Change Policy
- Specialization in Sustainable Food Systems
- Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development
- Natural Resources and Sustainable Development - (Dual Degree with American University)
- Water Cooperation and Peace - (Joint Educational Programme with the Institute for Water Educaation (UNESCO-IHE) and Oregon State University
