Afghanistan: FAO: War, Poverty, and Over-Exploitation Destroy Pistachio Forest in Afghanistan

In a statement released on Thursday, January 30, the FAO added that Afghanistan once had more than 450,000 hectares of pistachio forests. According to the organization, the province of Badghis, which has the highest density of pistachio trees, has been most severely impacted.
