Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Mission :

Under the direct supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight of nutrition and health projects within the Afghanistan mission.
More precisely, you will be responsible for the following missions:

  • Establish appropriate project management setup and tools for efficient, effective, and coherent project (s) implementation
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of project delivery
  • Ensure representation, engagement and coordination
  • Ensure proper project reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of projects
  • Ensure proper project budget tracking, utilization, and timely procurement, acquisition, and utilization of supplies across all projects
  • Ensure proper human resources management and development
  • You will provide support and technical assistance to nutrition and health projects as well as other multisectoral projects in the Afghanistan mission.

Profile :

  • You hold a Master's degree in Public Health, Medical Science, or a health and nutrition-related discipline (nursing, midwifery, medical doctor, etc.), with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position with INGOs/NGOs.
  • Previous experience with Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an advantage.
  • You have demonstrated experience in managing health and nutrition programs in the field, and successful proposal development experience is expected.
  • You possess a strong understanding of donor guidelines and procedures and the ability to handle stress and pressure effectively.
  • You have proven ability to multi-task and demonstrated leadership qualities, enabling you to effectively manage and mentor a diverse team while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial. You are fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
