Afghanistan: Mining Plan to Increase National Revenue: Ministry of Mines

Officials from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) on Wednesday said that with the implementation of the mining plan, Afghanistan will vastly increase its national revenue. The roadmap is a program aimed to overcome challenges facing the mining sector in the country, and the ministry of mines and petroleum, by using it, will be able to better manage the mines, said MoMP spokesman Abdul Qadeer Mutfi. But members of the Natural Resources Monitoring Network (NRMN) have said that until now, the government has not managed to define a clear strategy when it comes to the increase of national revenue from the mining sector.
