Iraq/Kurdistan: Iraq in Need of ‘Federal, Modern’ Hydrocarbon Law, Says PM Barzani

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday said Kurdistan Region officials and authorities in Baghdad should work together to enact a “federal and modern” oil and gas law that will be an achievement for the whole country. Barzani’s remarks came during the inauguration of the Van Steel factory in Erbil, where the steel-making establishment can produce 700,000 tons of steel annually.
