Environmental organisations play a critical role in the fight against biodiversity loss and climate change. In doing so, they navigate complex social dynamics and tensions. Environmental action is particularly challenging to pursue in divided contexts, or where there is violence. It also offers unique opportunities to bring people together - fostering collaboration, building trust, and strengthening social cohesion.

PeaceNexus is launching two new calls to support environmental organisations in integrating conflict-sensitive approaches in their work.

🔹 Call 1: International Environmental Organisations
We seek international partners who:
- Have a primary mission related to the environment
- Operate internationally, with programmes in at least five countries
- Have a footprint in conflict-affected contexts
- Want to embed conflict sensitivity in their organisational practices
Support offered:
- Tailored accompaniment
- A grant of up to 50,000 CHF per phase of support (for up to three phases)
- Access to peer learning opportunities

🔹 Call 2: Environmental Organisations in West & Central Africa
We seek local, national or regional partners who:
- Have a primary mission related to the environment
- Are based in Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal or Cameroon, or operate regionally across West and/or Central Africa
- Want to embed conflict sensitivity in their organisational practices

Support offered:
- Tailored accompaniment
- A grant of CHF 15,000–45,000 per phase of support (with up to three phases of support)
- Access to peer learning opportunities

📅 Deadline for both calls: Monday, 16 February 2026 (midnight CET).
