Afghanistan: Taliban Restarts War-Postponed Dam Construction, Sparking Tension with Iran over Water Rights [Video]

Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban has restarted construction of the Bakhsh Abad Dam in the Farah province, which neighbours Iran. Tehran has warned that it reserves the right to take action if it does not receive the water entitled to Iran in a 1973 agreement. The Taliban, meanwhile, has said the dam will be beneficial for both countries and will generate clean hydroelectric power.
