The World Wide Fund for Nature Inc. is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1961 that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment. All around the world, people are waking up to the deepening crisis of nature loss. A growing realization that nature is our life-support system. And that nobody will be spared from the impacts of its loss. Here at WWF, we are helping to tackle this enormous global challenge.

WWF-Myanmar is seeking to update its roster of communications consultants and is therefore seeking applications from candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Illustration/graphic design
  • Videography/video production/editing
  • Photography
  • Writing/Copy editing

Project opportunities could run from 1-2 days of work to many months. We are interested to hear from candidates based in Myanmar and those outside the country who are able to work remotely.



Examples of consultancy work offered (Tasks and responsibilities)

  • Writing / editing materials: media releases, articles, interviews, reports, presentations, web stories, social media posts.
  • Graphic design / illustrations: infographics, report layout, toolkits/handbooks, awareness-raising posters/pamphlets, social media graphics.
  • Video production / editing: training videos, fundraising assets, social media / media content, awareness-raising materials.
  • Photography or videography commissions: trips to capture photos or video footage related to WWF’s work, event documentation. The ability to work and travel within Myanmar is likely to be necessary for these commissions.

Expected Profile / Qualification and Expertise

  • Degree in mass communication, public relations, marketing, graphic design, video production or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working individually and meeting deadlines is essential. Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, supported by good computer and digital skills.
  • Proficient in either English or Myanmar language is essential.
  • Proficiency in a second language from Myanmar is an advantage.
  • Articulate, creative, passionate, flexible with attention to detail.
  • Strong interest in conservation and environmental issues.
  • Experience working for an NGO or international environmental organization is desirable.

Interested individual consultants or companies must submit the following documents/information to demonstrate their qualifications:

  • CV
  • A cover letter, clearly identifying the candidate’s qualifications and expertise (as detailed above) and stating expected fees as a daily rate in US dollars. Fee information should be expressed as a net amount. Successful applicants will need to submit evidence of previous work compensated at a similar rate.
