Four years prior to the October 17th 2019 Revolution, people in Lebanon took to the streets seeking sustainable solutions for the so-called garbage crisis. These cross-sectarian protests were an unprecedented revolt against the system of corruption that the former warlords-turned-politicians nurtured with impunity.
