Danish International Development Agency (Danida) is the brand used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark when it provides humanitarian aid and development assistance to other countries, with focus on developing countries.

As energy planning adviser you will work proactively to keep updated on Ukrainian energy sector and district heating developments and provide technical and regulatory inputs relevant for the partners in UDEPP. Ukraine and Denmark have cooperated in the energy sector since 2014 building on the strengths and advantages of the government-to-government cooperation. The overall objective is to assist Ukraine in achieving its energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy independence targets and modernizing district heating. You are placed in the Ministry of Energy in Kyiv working closely with the Ukrainian UDEPP Programme Coordinator on a day-to-day basis and liaise closely with the DEA Country Team Leader in Copenhagen. You have a master’s degree or corresponding qualifications in energy planning/power sector management and regulation or engineering and extensive working experience in topic areas covered by UDEPP. Solid knowledge of Danish energy and climate policy and practice, DEA and the Danish energy model is preferred. You are fluent in English and Danish.
