The British Red Cross Society (BRC) UK Office invites proposals from experienced companies, institutions, or teams of consultants for the supply of services to conduct research into the displacement/migration -climate crisis nexus within the Sahel Region, specifically in Mali and Sudan.

With this research, the British Red Cross aims to gain a more balanced understanding of the climate crisis-migration nexus as well as the impacts of migration/displacement on the environment in the Sahel. This in order to ensure humanitarian programming that is both more relevant and aligns more closely with the needs of the most vulnerable communities, to raise the bar of resilience and migration programming in the region, and to influence policies and humanitarian diplomacy. The geographical scope of the research will be the Sahel region/belt, with the primary focus on Mali and Sudan. The research with help to inform future Migration and Displacement programming in the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

The research will last approximately 4 months from September 2021 – December 2021.
