Developments in the First EnPAx Conference

The First International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding starts in 5 months, and the preparations are well underway. 

Following review of proposed panels, roundtables, presentations, and posters by the Scientific Committee, most of the confirmed speakers have registered. More than 110 people (including speakers and non-speakers) from more than 20 countries have registered to date.  The technical portion of the agenda is largely developed, and the Conference organizers are finalizing the agenda.  We encourage people to register early, as the venue will fill up.

The deadline for nominations for three of the awards has passed, and the Awards Committee is reviewing the nominations.  The final award (for the Best Student Paper in Environmental Peacebuilding) is open until August 20.

The Conference organizers continue to develop innovative elements of the Conference, including a curated photographic exhibition on environmental peacebuilding, a story slam (to seek feedback on how to pitch nascent stories), and opportunities to seek career advice.
