Overseas Development Institute Seeking an Intern to Assist with Disaster and Conflict Paper Delivery
Jul 16, 2018
Katie Peters, Environmental Peacebuilding Association Board Member and Senior Research Fellow at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), is seeking an intern with experience in natural hazard-related disasters and conflict to assist with the delivery of two papers. The papers are titled ‘Delivering Disaster Risk Reduction in contexts of armed conflict and fragility: to what extent could the Sendai Framework support conflict prevention?’ and ‘Disaster Risk Reduction in fragile and conflict affected contexts: a review of emerging evidence.’ These papers will be submitted to the Global Assessment Report 2019 by August, 15 2018 and the intern would ideally start as soon as possible.
ODI internships are unpaid and can last for up to 3 months. The internship is based in London, but working remotely is possible for those who do not live within the UK. For UK based interns, ODI can pay for basic travel and lunch expenses depending on where the intern lives.
Interested applicants can send an email to k.peters@odi.org.uk with their resume and a brief note (no more than one page) describing their experience in this topic, where they are based and how soon they are able to begin.
