Help Us Build the Membership of the NEW Environmental Peacebuilding Association!

May 8, 2018

We are in a critical moment for generating new information and sharing experiences in the growing, interdisciplinary field of environmental peacebuilding. The Environmental Peacebuilding Association launched officially on April 22nd, coinciding with Earth Week celebrations and the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace.

We are happy to announce that the Environmental Peacebuilding Association has 40 members from 20 countries – and counting! The Founding Board of the Association needs your help to build the Association over the next month. We are trying to get to 200 members by June 5 (World Environment Day).  Please join us, encourage your friends and colleagues to join us, and help get the word out!

The Association:

  • fosters knowledge development and exchange;
  • builds capacity and awareness; and
  • strengthens relationships between scholars, practitioners, and decisionmakers.

Note: The Environmental Peacebuilding Association is related to, but separate from the Community of Practice. If you are subscribed to the Environmental Peacebuilding Update and a member of the Community of Practice, and seek further opportunities for professional development, networking, sharing resources, and participating further in events, you may be interested in joining the Association!
