The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishery will distribute paddy seeds to farmers in flood-hit villages nationwide, according to the Deputy Permanent Secretary Myo Tint Tun. Until July 28, more than 500,000 acres of monsoon crops were affected by floods. The disaster destroyed around 90,000 acres of crops, according to the ministry. The ministry has issued the methods for the timely re-growing of monsoon paddy in flood-hit villages.
