Myanmar: World Bank-Myanmar to Work on National Water Law

Public consultations on the Myanmar National Water Law will be held soon, said State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in the opening remarks at the Third Asia Pacific Water Summit  in Yangon on Monday. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said Myanmar has abundant water resources and its hydropower potential is considerable. However, she said that abundance does not mean the country has water security and does not experience water scarcity.
