Myanmar: Small Miners Protest over Gem Blocks

Residents of Mogok township in Mandalay Region are protesting what they say is the unfair allocation of mining concessions, with small miners being assigned to unproductive blocks.  Some 300 small miners marched in Kyat Pyin ward to protest against what they described as discrimination against small block holders.
