Iraq: Turkey, Iraq Trade Ties to Boom, Says Energy Minister

ISTANBUL — Energy Minister Taner Yıldız, speaking at an interview on Friday dismissed the allegations that Turkey is ignoring ISIS's oil trade along Turkey's borders. Yıldız also noted that both Turkish and Iraqi authorities are willing to improve their current relations in accordance with the mutual interests of the countries. Yıldız stated that, especially in countries that are politically unstable, energy resources have become more important, making places like Northern Iraq and Syria especially hot areas.
