Afghanistan: Clash over Goldmine Claims 1 Life in Afghanistan's Badakhshan Province

One gold miner has been confirmed dead as a clash erupted over a gold mine in northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, provincial police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said Monday evening. The clash flared up between owners of the goldmine and miners in Awaz village of Shahr-i-Bazarg district on Tuesday and claimed one life, the official added without providing more details.
