Syria: Turkey Wants to Rebuild Syria with the Country's Oil Income, Erdogan Says

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday night that Syrian oil reserves in Qamishli and Deir Ezzor should be used to rebuild the war-ravaged country. Erdogan, who spoke to journalists accompanying him during a visit to Brussels to discuss the Idlib crisis, said that he had long proposed a safe zone to protect displaced Syrians but the offer had fallen on deaf ears.
