The House of Representatives has mandated its joint Committee on Public Accounts and Expenditure to investigate the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) to provide explanation on the status of the US$700,000 that Chervon is obligated to pay as corporate social responsibility fees for development programs in Liberia.

The committee is being mandated to fast strike the investigation and report to plenary within two weeks for appropriate action.

The House's decision was triggered Tuesday by a communication from Montserrado County Representative Acarous M. Gray, in which he alleged that there was questionable financial spending at the National Oil Company of Liberia.
