As the continent most vulnerable to climate change while simultaneously hosting many of the world’s most protracted conflicts, Africa presents both the greatest challenge and the most compelling case for integrating green economy approaches into peacebuilding efforts. This integration represents a paradigm shift—from viewing environmental sustainability and peace as separate domains to recognizing their fundamental interdependence.
